  After working in the roofing business for the better part of a decade, where I have seen and installed nearly every type of roofing material, I can safely say that CeDUR is the best product on the market. First off, it actually looks like a real wood shake roof when it’s at its best. CeDUR will never become brittle, grayed out, or disintegrate like wood shake. Second, it has a Class A Fire Rating. I never gave much thought to fire ratings until the house behind mine burned down. We’ve put a blow torch to CeDUR and cannot get it to ignite. It will char, but the other side of it stays cool, with minimal heat transfer. Third, it has a Class 4 Impact Rating making it resistant to hail. After replacing hundreds of asphalt roofs and way too many “Impact Resistant” asphalt roofs, it’s nice to be actually be able to recommend a material that is made specifically to hold up to Colorado weather. Fourth, not only is CeDUR made for Colorado houses, it is made in Colorado. Fifth, and finally, most insurance companies will offer a discount on homeowners insurance if you have a CeDUR roof. I just don’t think you can get any better than this and I recommend it to all my customers.
