  We packed up the pup and took the back roads, enjoying a spontaneous drive to Brighton, Colorado. The husband loves the rich variety of hot pepper products at Lulu's! He purchased 4 kinds of dried peppers this visit. I'm drawn to the various sweets, fresh veg & fruit. I noticed many shoppers picking up the frozen pies and next trip, so will I!

  You can buy mild, medium, hot, x-tra hot Hatch chilies, Pueblo, Marisol red, Local Brighton Colorado chilies, Anaheim, Big Jim's, too many to mention. Watermelons are available. A large variety of produce. Red chilie ristras, those are dried chilie pods. They are available in mild, medium, hot, and X-stremely hot,great for tamales and enchilada sauce. The Owners name is Aaron, he is a chilie expert, he knows which ones are really hot and which ones are not. You can browse outdoor garden statuary plaster and cement products. The annual outdoor chilie fest happens in the fall, usually late September. Many vendors from around Colorado, New Mexico, and I have seen vendors from Texas as well, display their wares. Many samples to try. This is a lot of fun. You can purchase beer during the fest if you wish. Live music too.

  Great place, hard to get that real road side market feel this time of year but they have a wide array of things. I will never buy cleaned frozen chili's anywhere else again. They were a great price, wide variety and not a skin in the bunch.

  What a lovely market! Lulu’s is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. Before entering, they have several u-haul rental options, ice, and outdoor furniture available. Inside, you’ll find a wide variety of seasonal produce, pickled vegetables, grains, frozen fruit, pies and cheesecakes, jams, snacks and candies, and even roasted chiles. You can also find dairy products, including fresh butter. Directly in the back is a large garden center with plants and garden statues. To the far left after entering, there are grills and all your other grilling needs available. Oh, they also offer a delicious root beer! You can bring back your glass bottle to recycle it (and get some cash back for returning it!). I’m really glad I found Lulu’s :)

  What a wonderful place! All sorts of chests of different types of meat and essentials. I loved the array of homemade items. Several brands of barbecues and all the accessories. An entire chest of cheesecake and a different one of pies. I even boughtA dozen duck eggs if you can believe it. All sorts of syrups,jellies, local honey, Jars of Veggies and fruits. Fresh produce picked straight from the farm. Tons of people there to help if you had any questions. Old fashion candy and so much more. They even sell sheds outside. I must go see.
