(July 20, 2020, 9:36 pm)Our first time in, my girlfriend and I are impressed! The drinks are very well made, and I highly recommend the Coronarita! The salads were FRESH, and came out much faster than I could've expected. The steak was absolutely STELLAR, as were the sides! Great southern atmosphere, real fire sconces, and very attentive staff. Our server, Stephan was very courteous, swift on his feet, and helpful. He didn't rush us, answered all of our questions, and didn't interrupt while we were eating. Very classy! We will be repeat customers for sure! Great place for a quiet date, family dinner, or if you just want a great drink and phenomenal steak.
(July 19, 2020, 9:22 am)Had dinner there after a conference in Boulder. A very well run dining room, food came out just as ordered and timely and it tasted great. The floor manager came by a few times and helped serve us also, he was a nice guy and on his game. The place was in perfect sync on a busy Saturday night. I had a tbone which came out just right, the caesar was good, so were the fried shrimp side. I even liked the bread also. Priced reasonably too.
(July 16, 2020, 8:31 pm)My wife and I were going out for dinner with another couple. They were bored with Red Lobster and one friend doesn’t like Outback, so we took a chance on this restaurant.
It was a pleasant surprise. The dining area is one big room, but with the Covid-19 concern seating was limited so the noise level wasn’t overbearing. The staff was friendly and our waitress was very attentive and checked on us regularly. Our steaks were cooked exactly as how we ordered them and the Texas toast was great. Texas toast was a regular with all steak restaurants in the past but it is rare to find it now. But Saltgrass got it right. The salads were generous with lots of dressing. My baked potato was a bit overcooked and dry, but still good.
My one complaint was the bar. I ordered a double whiskey sour. All bars give you a bit of a break on the price when you order a double but this bartender charged me for two whiskey sours. Shame on him and Saltgrass for ripping customers off this way.
Overall we enjoyed our food, the atmosphere, the service, and the price was average for most mid range restaurants. When we go again I will probably stick with water, pop, or one glass of wine since the bar is so expensive.
(July 13, 2020, 2:04 pm)It was great. Our table was being cleared when we arrived for our allotted time. There was a table in the bar area also and we decided on the bar area. We felt more distanced. Our server was also the bartender. He was witty and service was very fast and good. They didn't have Seagram's but the server recommended a pineapple drink and it was delicious and refreshing. We both ordered a 10 oz steak and both came exactly as requested. Not one bite was lost and my poor dog received no leftovers. Baked potato was perfect and doing the backstroke in butter as I requested. This place would have gotten more than a 5 Star from us!!! I will be back probably this week as I am staying in the area for a few days ?
(July 13, 2019, 2:02 am)So good. The crab cakes are so full of crab with little filling. The ribeye was cooked just right and was tender and juicy. My waitress was attentive and friendly. Saltgrass is more expensive than some of the other chains but the food is consistently good.
