Big Apple Plumbing and Heating LLC

Our heat went out on New Year’s Day at 9PM (it was 5 degrees out). Nearly everyone we called said they couldn’t help until the next morning. We contacted Jason and he was very honest with me and said he didn’t have the parts to fix my problem. However, he stayed on the phone with me trying to troubleshoot the problem, and eventually we got my boiler working again. I really appreciated his concern to get the heat back on for me and my family.

Alex was on time at the beginning of the appointment window (and that rarely happens with service companies!) and promptly took care of the problem. He also explained in detail what had gone wrong, and I feel like I could diagnose a similar problem in the future. Great service! (Although a bit pricey.)

Alex G did a wonderful job!! He was informative, professional, quick and efficient. If you have a plumbing issue I would highly recommend Big Apple and Alex as your plumber.

I'm out of town for work and (of course on Saturday night) my roommate calls to report that I have a plumbing problem. A cap blew off of a drain cover in the basement. Eek! So Big Apple comes by with a $100 surcharge for a weekend visit. A bit steep, but understandable for high-quality work.

Then they say it's a drain clog and they want $249 more to snake it. That's a bit steep, but again, they're a major and well-regarded company. There was a mix-up where I thought they were asking $349 IN ADDITION to the $100 charge, so I told them to pound sand. Then I went online to complain, and the owner basically bent over backward to leave me satisfied. He messaged me politely even as I was being angry, and then they treated me like it was their mistake.

So yeah, now I'm kind of impressed.

Absolutely Phenomenal! On time ( actually early ) Efficient, explained the work as he made the repair. I was expecting it to be a major job but he said it was an easy fix. I greatly appreciate that he didn't take advantage. Was thorough, clean, friendly and professional. Price was reasonable. I highly recommend!
