Juniper Village at Aurora

My 90 year old mother has been at Juniper for a little over a year. During that time we have come to consider the other residents and staff as family. We are extremely fortunate that our mother, although battling dementia, is capable of appreciating many of the opportunities that make Juniper unique, like main floor living, good food, friendly and overall capable staff, and generous walking and outdoor sitting areas. From her chair in her room, (which during covid 19 she is spending the majority of her time in, ) she can listen to music while looking out through a large window into an open grassy area.
Covid 19 has revealed many of the shortcomings of our society, especially in the health care industry, but under Tom Hunters leadership Juniper has proven that it is true to its mission and uncompromising in its effort to keep residents and staff safe.

Juniper Village is more than just a memory care facility. This place is full of love and support not just for residents, but family members and staff as well. This close-knit community takes pride at keeping the mind, body, and spirit active through all stages of life. Everyday is a new day at Juniper and it is an amazing opportunity to work at a place that has compassion for people.

My name is Bradley and I've been working here since 2015. Juniper Village at Aurora is a great place to work! As an associate, all of the staff truly work incredibly well together and our community is a place where friends become family. Working here I receive the training, and the tools to really understand Memory Care. I enjoy seeing the residents in a safe home-like environment. There happiness, laughter, and smiles fill our community on a daily basis. I couldn't imagine being a part of a more well rounded community.

The care, and compassion for the residents and their families exceeds far above any other place that I have ever worked. It starts with our leadership team Tom, Sonny, Jennifer, Cathy, Chris, Michelle, Patrick and Alba! They ALL lead by example and are always ready to lend a helping hand! Everyone works together no matter what department needs help. That is simply amazing to me and makes for a great place to work knowing that you can depend on each other to provide the best care for our residents and their family members.
