We recently had to use the services of Newcomer to care for my mother. They not only managed her cremation, but her viewing as well. We had a very short window of time and the staff went above and beyond to reach those time goals as if we were the only family in their care.

Newcomer gave my little sister and I the chance to not only say goodbye to our mother, but to see her beautifully done up. We both agree our mother would have been pleased. I could not have asked for a better version of her to be seen. She was resting and at peace.

This has been our second experience with Newcomer, and both encounters have been phenomenal. Thank you to our director, James, for everything you have done and thank you to all the Newcomer staff for the help they have given us while we say goodbye to our momma… Our positive experience with the funeral home has helped us manage this loss so much, and we cannot begin to explain how much Newcomer has positively affected us during this difficult time.

Do not go anywhere else for funeral services. We used them for my mother's funeral. John was amazing. He is genuine, caring, and an amazing communicator. As an example: I am in the military and had a tight timeline to return to my duty station. I wanted to receive my mother's ashes before I had to return which was going to be difficult to do because of the permits required to do a cremation. John went to the county office and told them he was not leaving until he got the permit because of our situation. Everyone in my family was so grateful for Newcomers and a few of them are even arranging meetings with John to prepay for their services because they want to make sure that Newcomers is the business that cares for them when they pass. They are also extremely reasonably priced. Losing a loved one is hard, but Newcomers made the process as easy as they could.

We have unfortunately had to use Newcomer twice in 2 years. Both times we encountered staff that are compassionate and professional. The price was very reasonable. Heather was no longer at the Lakewood location when my mom passed away but arranged her schedule to be at the Lakewood office to assist our family. I cannot give Heather and Newcomer enough stars. I highly recommend them.

They did a wonderful job with my nephew Jordan's home going services. The staff was amazing! Thank you for the care and the details and being able to present to the family exactly what was requested. My nephew looked like himself.

    Thank you

When my father died during the height of the COVID pandemic we were left scrambling to make meaningful arrangements. Heather Miller at the East chapel immediately made us comfortable by letting us know that dad was in their care. She was incredibly professional and supportive.

Dad would have been proud of the way that he looked for visitation. Marc Small attended to our family during the visiting hours. Again we felt very comfortable and supported.

Because of the pandemic, families were not allowed in the cemetery for the burial. Marc let us know that dad was taken care of and made sure that our plans were followed. Everyone at Newcomer treated us with respect and compassion. Thank you to the entire team at Newcomers.
