Toddler Talk Speech Therapy

Shayna is a very skilled, kind, and knowledgeable therapist. What I love most about Shayna is she really took her time initially to figure out who my daughter is and what areas to target. One of her first comments was that my daughter has so much in there that needs to come out. I love how Shayna realizes this and comes from a place of confidence in my daughter's abilities.

She is patient and in each session takes the time to explain things that may be confusing and/or acknowledge what my daughter is saying and then help her put more and more of the pieces together. She is thoughtful in her approach and yet flexible with her goals. I have never felt like she puts pressure on my daughter but encourages her to feel confident in what she is saying and her abilities. My daughter loves coming to her lessons each week and feels a great sense of pride afterward.

I have noticed my daughter's expressive language grow each day and am surprised at times when she says something I had no idea she knew!

I highly recommend Shayna! We have seen speech therapists over the years and I feel like Shayna is gold. We are so happy to be working with her.

Shayna is absolutely amazing. She gives so much to the families she works with and does such an awesome job of explaining what is happening in therapy every step of the way. She went above and beyond to work with me for a period of time when we were unable to have in-person sessions. Alongside virtual sessions, she provided me with materials and showed me how to use them to keep up with the goals we were working on. She is so kind and genuine and I would recommend her to anyone seeking speech therapy for their little one.

Shayna did an amazing job with my daughter. When I first brought her to Shayna, she was wasn’t speaking at all, fast forward 6 months and she was ahead by a year. She always loved going to see Shayna and it’s a super friendly environment. Best in the business!

Words cannot fully express how thankful we are for Shayna and the work she did with our son. Shayna’s passion and profound knowledge with language and speech is truly remarkable.

The care she gave our son was incredibly individualized and never once felt like a one sized fits most approach. Her energy and love for the children she works with is so pure. At 3 years old our son said maybe 15 words with the majority of his communication coming out as sounds vs actual words. In just 5 months of therapy ( 3x’s a week) with Shayna, his speech boomed.

We are constantly amazed at his explosion of words and he never struggles expressing himself through clear and thoughtful communication.

He is currently such an eloquent speaker talking as well as the majority of kids his age (and even older). At the time of leaving this review he hasn’t had therapy in 3 weeks and his speech continues to sore. We had worked with other therapists prior to hiring Shayna and honestly cannot even compare the work she does.

We are so grateful and lucky that we found Shayna! We took our son to see her twice a week for about 9 months from the ages of 2.5 - 3 and it made all the difference in his speech and confidence. He was mostly non-verbal when we started, but immediately showed progress after we began sessions with her and is a total chatterbox now. My husband and I have just been beside ourselves with amazement to see the changes in him over the course of seeing her!

Shayna is the kindest and so incredibly excellent in her field. She gave us lots of clear instructions and exercises to do at home to practice and boost his progress, which was so helpful. Even talking to her initially on the phone about my concerns with his delay in talking she brought me so much comfort by her warm response. My son absolutely loved his sessions with her and was always so pumped to go!
