Conscious Dying Institute

The sacred passage doula program with the Conscious Dying Institute, is such a deep and powerful program. Tarron is an amazing teacher who is passionate about this work. The class activities that she offers are truly transformative, allowing you to do your own personal work, so you will be able to be present and prepared to work with someone during their final chapter of life. I went into this program expecting one thing and I came out of it gaining so much more than I ever could have imagined. While there are a lot of programs offering end of life doula certifications, I highly recommend this program for the depth of material, experiences connections and knowledge that you will receive.

I feel honored and grateful to have been part of the conscious dying institute training for death doula- I attended the course last year and thoroughly enjoyed the work. I was introduced to this seminar through a dear friend who is an advocate for home funerals and the need for doula care for those nearing the threshold. As a physician it was one of the most powerful and intense sessions I have taken.
The first phase involved coming to terms with what dying meant to me, the spiritual, physical and emotional realm. Tarron Estes our leader proved to be fearless- she connected with each one of us, kept the energy flowing and rhythm of the group safe and sacred. Then came the “Best three months” which involved personal discussion of what each aspect - spiritual, physical etc in our own death and preparation. This was challenging and eye opening for me. Phase two involved bringing together care and practical tools to support those in need along with deep grief work. Tarron brough honor and sacredness to those who have left the earth and gratitude to those we hold dear to our hearts. Her approach is multidimensional with common sense practices, ability to respect others views and ideas in keeping with the holiness and mystery of it all.
