Reito Rodriguez, LCSW LAC

Reito exhibits a very strong comfort with the Human condition. I've found his content and teachings to be consistent and in line with who he presents himself to be. My interactions have focused on divesting from a lifelong tendency to think about things, and instead focus on building an awareness around how I feel in any given situation.

As someone that has grown up with a lifelong expectation to suppress emotions and operate logically the cracks have only grown with time and develop into a paralysis of my aspirations and pursuits. The concepts here are simple in nature and difficult to master. Reito is a reliable champion of his "emotion wheel" and I encourage anyone to open up a dialogue with Reito to explore these ideas as applied to one's self. Reito sets boundaries up front and will interrupt (as well as challenge) habits respectfully and appropriately.

I have known Reito for 15 years now. He helped me years ago to recognize my codependency and gave me real tools to use in my life. I have come back to him from time to time and he again helps me to identify my issues and guides me to solutions.

I came to Reito’s practice after working with a dozen therapists who I never connected with- it seemed as if I was a lost cause. Reito accepted and understood me. For the first time, I was able to express my deepest emotions. He helped me to find solutions. A comforting thought for me is that when I need him, I have a therapist who I trust.

It's no exaggeration to say Reito helped me change my life. I'm grateful that he helped me thru some 'hopeless' times and he's still there for me as I move forward.
Early on, he also referred me to great MD because he suspected a previous misdiagnosis and my new doctor changed my meds accordingly. Reito had the insight and knowledge to coordinate my care.
He has helped me with issues in my marriage and career, co-dependency, relationships, grief and self-esteem. Because of Reito's compassion, humor, experience and support, I'm more confident & stable & make better choices. I respect his insights and suggestions because I know he hears me.
I stopped seeing him when I felt strong enough and could deal with 'life on life's terms'. A series of tragedies brought me back & I am so relieved that we are meeting again. He makes a difference in my outlook, in my 'everyday'.
