Orthopedics at Boulder Medical Center

The orthopedics department at Boulder Medical Center is the absolute best group in Boulder County (and beyond, too)! I injured my shoulder at the beginning of our family vacation in the Virgin Islands earlier this year. Since we rarely go on a major vacation like this, I was heartbroken at the thought of going home early. I consulted with the BMC ortho team back home in Boulder and they worked with a local doctor to get xrays. The Boulder group told me to remain on vacation, ice and elevate, and expect surgery when I came back home. Sure enough, that's what I needed and Dr. Repine actually performed the surgery but the entire team was behind me...from the MAs to Laura the physician assistant, and the other physicians. My numerous questions were answered patiently (I ask a lot of them) and the surgery went smoothly. I appreciate their oversight during my recovery, including their tough love call not to release me for action during the rest of the ski season. It's 6 months later and my shoulder is doing great with range of motion and no pain. I am so glad that the BMC ortho team was there for me - even from 2,800 miles away.
