Pretty quick trip to 13420'. The scramble at the top will definitely get you breathing. Views of Arapaho glacier and the forbidden Silver Lake. You can see Winter Park from here. Get out early to snag parking and avoid lightning strikes.
Hiked from rainbow lakes trailhead 13 miles roundtrip it's pretty difficult hike but it was so worth it views of everything.
The hike to Arapahoe peak is no joke. Elevation gained a 3000 ft and you feel it every single step. A good scramble to the top with tons of marmots running around sunning themselves. I'm pretty in shape and I was shocked that it took us a little over 6 hours for the out and back of 9 miles! That has been the most beautiful hike I've probably ever taken a Colorado in 12 years.
Possibly one of the most accessible peaks on the continental divide, if you can find parking. Fantastic views with only a few miles of hiking.
