A magical and unforgettable experience. Gorgeous views and a fun course. I had never ridden a horse before and yet I felt stable and confident on Duke and in the presence of Sydney. She clearly knows her stuff and exhibits her love and care for her horses to no end! Would easily go again when we have the chance.

Sydney is great guide, instructor and story teller. She takes wonderful care of her horses, well trained, calm and beautiful. The horses are for any level of horse rider. Sydney ensures you will have great time and learn about horses and to ride them. I highly recommend riding with Sydney.

We had the BEST ride with Sydney today! She is incredibly talented, friendly and compassionate. We learned so much about her beautiful horses Duke, Missy and Baby Horse. Such lovely, calm horses! The views were spectacular, the trail was perfect and we really couldn’t have dreamt up a better morning. Thank you, Sydney- we hope to see you again the next time we are in Colorado!

We had a great two-hour ride with Sydney and her beautiful horses. They each have such distinct personalities and were very easy going. No problems at all on our ride—even when cyclists or dogs pass by, Sydney kept everything under control. Beyond that, she’s just a great person to talk to! The fresh air, sweet horses, great company, it was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. Could not give a higher recommendation, experience the Boulder forests and mountains with Sydney and her amazing horses—Duke, Baby Horse, and Missy.

Excellent! This is not your typical horseback ride, rather, Sydney at The Alpine Stables, LLC provides a positive equestrian experience.
My wife and I recently celebrated our 3rd anniversary in Colorado and her only request for an excursion was to take a mountain tour on horseback. Now we have been on a number of guided tours which have always involved riding in a single file line with a large group of people I have never met on tired horses following the exact same trail multiple times per day. My experience is that these tours are short yet costly, impersonal and can even be boring. There really is no comparison between the “typical rides” and the rides at Alpine Stables. From the start Sydney made us feel at ease with her humor and unassuming demeanor. Following paperwork she began by discussing our experiences and provided education about her horses, their behavior and our interactions with the horses. We were introduced to the horses and spent a few minutes getting to know them while they got to know us. Following this introduction to the horse they were trailered for a short ride to a horse trail. After unloading the horses we were given the rare opportunity to brush and groom the horses prior to saddling them. I highly recommend you fully take advantage of this part of the tour as it really creates a bond between the horse and rider. My wife and I really enjoyed loving on the horses. Sydney’s horses are very calm and well behaved as they are clearly given plenty of love and care. Sydney taught us how to saddle the horse including how to tie it down. She helped us mount the horse and thoroughly explained how to use the reins. She will take as much time as you need with any part of the process. When ready we headed out on the tour where we followed a path through the beautiful forest with varied terrain including foot bridge. While riding Sydney continued to provide a wealth of knowledge about the trees and plants around us and history of the area. When we reached the summit we ate our lunch while viewing beautiful landscape views of the majestic Rocky Mountains. We then headed back down the mountain to the truck where we removed the saddle and again groomed and appreciated the horse. This has certainly been our best and favorite experience with horseback riding. We will definitely go again when we return to the area. Thanks Sydney! Dwaine and Michelle.
