Alan is a fantastic teacher for my son. My son loves the lessons and takes them seriously. He said that he is willing to learn the music due to the teacher. We are fortunate to have had this great relationship for two years already.

My 10 year old son has been taking lessons with Mr. Alan for almost a year and a half now. I am constantly impressed by how calm and patient Alan is with my son. Alan is great at keeping my son's attention and encouraging him to grow with the violin. We are very lucky to have found Mr. Alan, my son has come such a long way.

Mr. Alan, is a very accomplished violist and a wonderful instructor. He is very patient and during the many recitals he puts on, you can really see how much he enjoys what he does.

My daughter started violin right when she turned 4, she is now 11. My son also started violin lessons right at 4, he is now 8. Both kids have always taken lessons with Mr. Alan, no one else. We have been with him for over 7 years now and I haven’t had to complain about anything.

One of the things I like the most, after every practice Mr. Alan gives written homework to the kids. The kids know exactly what to practice at home before their next lesson. He also encourages kids to play songs of their choosing when it is recital time, which is awesome! Why? I don’t have to force them to practice, they do it on their own.

Mr. Alan is an incredible teacher who really tries to know and understand his students, and that is a bonus for us!

Mr Alan is a wonderful violin teacher. My son started with him when my son was 6 and over the past 18 months with Mr Alan he has grown so much as a violinist. Mr Alan is patient, kind, and has wonderful and creative strategies to teach kids. I also love that he doesn’t teach straight out of a music book, (he does use it as a tool) but instead really wants my son to learn how each note sounds and plays from the ear instead of relying solely on note reading. Mr Alan is also interested in really knowing his students and what they want to play, my son is a huge Star Wars fan, so he got to learn how to play the theme from Star Wars which he loved! We highly recommend Castle Rock Violin Studio!

Mr. Alan is an incredible instructor. My daughter has been taking lessons from him for over 6 years and has become a beautiful performer. His attention to detail and high expectations in a firm but kind way has allowed her to rise to her fullest potential. I couldn't recommend him more.
