So beautiful. Grab your hiking boots, water & energy bars for this hike. Can be a bit challenging at times. Take your time to enjoy as you go. If you're experienced, allow yourself a day to do this hike. Definitely a must for anyone who enjoys hiking, especially avid hikers!

It’s a hike to not much. Pretty challenging, so bring some walking rods. Maybe some breathing taking views, but I went there was a lot of smog from fires in the air. The reservoir is empty as they punched a hole in it and have no plans to refill it. So it’s a hike to nothing really, but went with my fiancé and made a morning of it. Also, their port-a-potties are pristine, but no trash cans / potties once you hit the trail. Have fun!

This is a great harder trail with some bouldering along the path. If you go in winter I highly recommend ice spikes. The trail gets really icy at one point.

Steep hike, but beautiful! Be prepared to scramble and wear boots with good tread! Watch out for the tiny hard-to-see trail sign on a tree at the line of rocks a few minutes up the trail. You'll have to go left over the rock barrier to stay on the trail, otherwise you'll go off course a mile like we did 😬

If you have access to USAFA, this is a breathtaking hike. It is rated as hard due to the climbing, scrambling, and bouldering required to get up the mountain. Just over 5 miles and a well developed trail. I would recommend hiking sticks for those of you who need some stability with your knees. We did not see any bears, but evidence of the furry friends is all over. The reservoir is empty, but still beautiful. We did a sunset hike to capture the evening light in the trees.
