A year ago, we went to Caralee’s Gottman workshop. I waited to post a review because I wanted to see how it affected our marriage over the long-term. The workshop has essentially eliminated heated arguments and prolonged “silent treatment” scenarios. We relate on a different level now and so those bad behavior does not creep into our interactions. Of course, we still disagree on things, but we know do to so without causing harm. Maturity, selflessness, and empathy has become the new normal.
The thing is, the workshop POINTED OUT THINGS about relationships and no one ever told you about. Everyone should go to Caralee’s workshop. It has made a positive effect on the way I relate to my co-workers, children, extended relatives, and friends in all sorts of settings. But I suspect that not all Gottman workshop are the same. Make sure you find one that has a highly capable presenter such as Caralee. She presented the material in a very knowledgeable and clear way, which guided our conversations during the "break out" portions. Those talks revealed some deep issues and strengths in our relationship we had never identified before. I loved having the time to talk to my spouse about us.
