Ginger K Spence, MS, LPC, NCC

Mrs. Ginger Spence is a great counselor. I think it takes a lot more than just empathy or even sympathy to be a great counselor. Conversely, I think it also takes more than just an intellectual understanding of psychology and a great intuition. From my own experience, Ginger has all of these fantastic characteristics. Her ability to read into the issues at hand that really need addressing is phenomenal. She has and utilizes systems and proven methods and techniques to assist her in accomplishing the desired outcome of enriching and enhancing a person's life.

My teen daughter has been seeing Ms Ginger for almost 2 months now. I have tried therapy for my daughter in past with no success. Often times we would spend half our allocated sessions talking about absent father issues that my daughter did not care to discuss and really was not relavent to my daughters anxiety. Each session we would spend half the session recapping on previous sessions. It was ineffective, a waste of time and half the time the therapist would just give my daughter excuses making me to blame.

What I love about Ms Ginger is how much she has invested in her professional developement and training as a therapist and her keen ability to really listen. She is personable and has a way with my daughter that brings out the best in her. My daughter needed help with coping on stress and balancing life while putting teen issues into prospective. My daughter leaves every session with new tools and HAPPY! She looks forward to seeing Ms Spence weekly and I swear she is a teen whisperer lol! She is "real" and I'm so impressed with her that I am starting a new series of sessions with the entire family since we are blended and still trying to-well blend. Ms. Ginger is a God sent and it is without reservation that I would recommend her for any family issues you may be dealing with or just to get great therapy tools! She is progressive and you will feel like each session is end capped with a new milestone being met!
