We've eaten here several times and I'd say overall the service is ok and the food is good. We have had great service and delicious food a couple of times, and the prices are very reasonable, which is why I give it 5 stars. Yesterday we popped in for lunch and everything was wonderful - the best visit we've experienced so far! I ordered the patty melt with a veggie burger patty (instead of meat), and it was delicious! The kids meals are generously sized and priced, which I really appreciate. So many places have such small kids meals at steep prices. The service was fantastic! The biscuits and gravy are the best around, in my opinion. The environment is cozy, furnished well with comfy and cleans tables and chairs. There is wheel-chair access, too. A great family spot for good food at fair prices - that can be hard to find these days!
Been there a few times and the food is always good! Of course, most times it’s too much for me. Sometimes I get something from the Little Less menu options which is a better portion for me. But you won’t go away hungry 😁. It’s nice inside with a lot of optional seating. Sometimes my husband and I sit at the bar 👍. And I’ve never had a problem with the Servers.
Having recently moved to Colorado Springs, I needed a breakfast place that was open early, and served good, old-style portions and food. Black Bear did not disappoint, and I was very happy with their food and service. I highly recommend the Denver Omelet as it was perfectly cooked, as well as those nice and crispy hash browns. I will certainly be back for more, and I suggest you go too!
My favorite diner of all time. Portions are huge and the food is so good. I always stop when there is a black bear diner on my travel routes. So happy they are now in Colorado. I am able to share my childhood memories with my kids. LOVE!
This place is awesome. They've got good prices, pleasant decor, and cute newspaper menus. My wife and I will definitely are regulars. We get treated pretty well, and some of the staff are starting to recognize us.
