The Loop

The service was very slow, however that worked well for our restful date night. The food was bland, even menu items marked as extremely spicy had little to no flavor. The white queso was delicious. This place isn't allergy friendly either frying their chips in the same grease as fish.
The drinks were strong!

Let's get one negative thing out of the way first: the bartender girl needs better customer service trainings. However she didn't directly serve us, so I won't deduct one star from the rating.

The food is excellent, and the portions are large. Someone ordered a drink and it came out in an equally huge glass. They were very good at supplying appetizers and accommodating our table of about 20 people who randomly walked in without a reservation. I requested sauteed mushroom, onion and bell peppers instead of rice and beans, and the entree came out looking better than I expected. The waiter brought us an extra flan with a candle on top as a surprise birthday treat. We have so much leftover.

This restaurant is at the traffic circle and easily overlooked. The meal started with chips and salsa while we looked over the menu. They offer a large variety of choices. The chips were thick and fresh tasting. The salsa was hotter then I like, but I'm a wimp. That being said I had several chips dipped in it because the flavor was great. I had the burrito with garlic meat. It was very good and large portions. My understanding is that their margaritas are unique.

Got right in, Ever my server was nice. Food was amazing. I had the Veg enchiladas with fried potatoes & fried carrots. Beans & rice. Salsa was hot! I loved that the chips aren't fried in grease.

Delicious food! We got a burrito and enchiladas, everything was fresh and tasty. Sat by the window and got to watch Manitou walking by 🌻 on a beautiful day!
Have heard all good things about the Loop since moving here 4 years ago and finally tried it for myself today. Should have come sooner!!! Will be back!!
