Attended a few basketball games here during play off and the gym was nice. Great choices from the snack bar for the kids and the security guard was nice and friendly with my youngest.

So, I graduated in '07. I wasn't one of the wealthier military kids. I also wasn't the worst off. I didn't belong anywhere, and high school in itself sucks. I was an angry teen, but damnit if I don't have some awesome stories and regrets that I didn't work harder. This school was amazing, the best advantage I ever had. After moving around the country, I can honestly say, I am a proud LP grad, and I will never take my education for granted. There are a LOT worse schools out there, and I have seen them.

When your teachers are willing to come in early, stay late, and actually care enough to help, there is no clique in the world that can make you forget what you took for granted.

This school has amazing options in classes, a great theatre department, and some pretty awesome teachers. It is a place to learn and grow. You want fun? There're tons of it. Just try to step outside the box.

Also, don't try to run off campus to have a smoke by The Road, especially if you wear transition lenses. The Art teachers will call you out every time hahaha.

I mean I never went here, but their tennis courts are open to the public, so that's cool. 4/5

I am honored to have received my high school education here. The morale of this school, and its foundation of excellence, is truly and professionally upheld by all of the teachers, food service staff, and janitorial staff. The teachers are great and care about their students' learning and education as a whole. They meet their students' learning with understanding, kindness, tolerance, and the joy of their profession, coupled with astounding support of their students' extracurricular activities and development. The food service staff pour their heart out to the students in every dish they cook, always making sure that it is not only healthy but highly nutritionally balanced as well. They also provide many healthy and natural alternatives to any students who suffer from medical conditions or deficiencies. The security officers are thorough and make sure that the school is at a peak safety level at all times. The office staff is delightful and helpful and goes out of their way to make sure each student's well being and need is met in whatever way they can assist. The health department is exceptionally caring, catering to and treating every student, in illness, reaction, allergy or otherwise, and does a very fantastic job of making sure every student is healthy and cared for if sick or injured. The volunteers who come in and oversee the Ranger Zone while students are in there, and who manage the store in the Ranger Zone give their free time to keeping such a watchful eye, and they try their very hardest to meet each student's needs. The janitorial staff is very kind and friendly and meets their work with rigor and service to the letter. They keep the school very clean, and the night custodians especially contribute greatly to the sanitary environment. The sports programs here emphasize qualities such as this, reflecting the habit of excellence and respect through the emphasis of giving your 110% effort in all that you do. The coaches focus on building each individual to his or her potential, enforcing them with values such as these along with the virtue of teamwork and friendship. The music, art, and theater programs are all wonderful, harnessing the inner talent of every arts -oriented student and shaping them into confident and successful wielders of that talent. The choir program is fantastic, working with vigor to perfect every harmony and time every part correctly. The band program is peerless, exhibiting mastery of dynamics, difficult time signatures, and relationship with one another in the ensemble that allows the music to really come alive. The improv and drama programs are expressive, unique, and will blossom anyone interested into their end goal, whether that be a thespian or a personable comedian. The art programs are very engaging, and tap into the vision students see in their own hearts; the burning passion to create what they see will find its way into whatever passion they pursue, be it painting, drawing, sculpting, or ceramics. Every STEM program is also soaked in excellence, and will be sure to prepare each student for the fields they wish to pursue while at the same time integrating fun and friendship into each experience. Overall, I am insanely proud to call myself an alumni of Lewis Palmer High School because I see not only the excellence, respect, friendship, character, leadership, teamwork, and countless other virtues that were there, but that of which I took along with me and now can gift to others as well. There are things in this review I have left out, because there are just too many good things to list about this school. Being able to call yourself a Ranger does not just mean your mascot gets to be a horse, it means that you are excellent, you are smart, you are brave, you are kind, you are caring, you are respectful, you are a friend, and you are loved. You are LP, and everyone at LP will treat you like family. If you are thinking of going here, don't hesitate to check it out, because it could be right where you belong.
