Royal Gorge Route Railroad

Amazing views during this leisurely train route ride. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, very comfortable seating in 1st class and the open air car is perfect for taking pictures and taking in all the magisty of the canyon, river, and mountains around.

Amazing excursion! The staff were so accommodating to my 94 yr young mother! The service in the dining car was fantastic. We totally enjoyed our meal with the train ride seeing more of beautiful Colorado. Would highly recommend it! Coming from Six & seven generation Coloradans!

Great experience! I would recommend this train activity! There is a wagon where you can be outside. The breakfast was good!

2 things. We waited outside for quite a bit. It was pretty hot! It’s kind of random but if you are in a wagon with noisy people, well, you will be stuck with noisy people for the duration of all the trip.

Most of waiters are welcoming like a jail door. I still put 5 stars but I don’t think they were nice. (For most of them.)

The company cannot do much about it, I know.

Royal Gorge Railway. 2 hr ride really beautiful. Cañyon City, Colorado. Open air, Vista glass roof, dining and plush train cars. Vista tickers were $119 adults and breakfast was Ala carte. Beautiful gift shop with lots of train memorabilia, books, tshirts.

Totally worth the price! We came in from Houston for my sister's birthday weekend. I couldn't decide whether or not to do the train since we rode one the previous month in TX and it was just ok. We arrived an hour ahead to pickup tickets. Due to covid-19 my group of 6 weren't seated together, but the nice guy at the counter upgraded us so we could be together! We got on the train and we're immediately helped to our seats. The nice waiter took our order and suggested we head to the open air car while it was empty. He then came to get us when our breakfast was ready. The views were breath taking! We took so many photos and regretted our mother couldn't make the trip because she would have loved it. We were always well attended by the staff. I definitely recommend taking a ride!
