“Perfect for burning off some energy! There’s lots of open space for walking, running, exercising, playing soccer/baseball, etc…there are two parks, one for older kids that designed as an obstacle course and another for younger kids that doesn’t have so many moving parts. Our favorite was the large 4 person spinning seat! It’s designed so nobody falls out. There is a covered pavilion with several picnic tables, bike racks, and easy on street parking. The grass is very well maintained, too, so it’s perfect for picnics and just about anything a family might do together. There is also a sidewalk that goes all the way around the park, so it’s nice for walking the dogs.”

“Usually quiet during off school hours. Charter school backs up to it and uses it as their field for sports. Doesn't usually interfere with anything you'd want to do. Park is nice, has swingset, lots if slides and cool things to play on. Newer equipment on playground. Great place to let your dog run, as there is a giant concrete arena towards the north end. Easy to keep and eye on your dogs and children.”

“You're going to definitely want to download the map before you go. Best to go early spring when the foliage is less. Otherwise be prepared to lose a disc or 2 in all the tall grass and thickets.”

“Fun, clean, with options for little and bigger kids. Swings (including one for kids with special mobility needs), slides, a sandbox area, some large rocks, a small climbing wall, and plenty of grassy area for kite and drone flying, frisbee, etc. Within view of a tennis court and baseball fields. Usually plenty of parking in the off-street lot.”

“This is a good city golf course with 3 distinct 9s. The Cottonwood 9 feels the toughest with its trees lining the fairways. #2 plays long, #3 & 4 play tight, #5 requires distance control, #7 penalizes fades. The Silo 9 is fun with its #5 uphill par 5 & #6 downhill screamer over the canal, but some find ending with an odd dogleg #8 over a canal and on a par 3 #9 deflating. Finding #5 after 4's green can be a bit hard the 1st couple times. Signage is iffy there. The Sleeping Indian 9 overall plays the most normal with a good par 5 finishing hole. None of the 9s play long, so the back tees are doable (maybe except #2 of Cottonwood) if you are average or longer. The clubhouse is undergoing renovations until late 2017, so you'll have to go elsewhere for a 19th hole. Update: the renovations turned out great. The food is pretty good too. The best deal is the 50+y old senior rate M-Th. The ponds have bass, too.”
