Independence loop is a short hike with large payoff. Not too steep.
Still a good amount of snow. We slipped A LOT, very icy. I definitely recommend micro spikes. Beautiful views. Porta potty, trail maps, marked trails. Dogs on leash. Please clean up the poop :)
gave me some peace of mind when I needed
A good, quick hike that offers a view of Denver and a low valley. Many rock outcroppings. Always some other people there ;)
South side of the trail is shadier, consider if you are late am or late afternoon goer. Loop is a leisure 40 minutes, some incline and decline. Have good shoes, both puppy and I, slipped on loose gravel.
