If you cut off the main loop to go to Lichen Peak, you can see for miles in every direction. Had hikers, dog walkers, people with ????, and someone sledding, so if you want to see every type of person, it was a nice day to go. Also saw a family of deer so that was cool.
I love coming here with my doggies, but when I don't theres always more doggies for me to pet
Great riding and running trails. Out and backs and loops. Everyone on the trail is friendly so keep up the trend.
With a couple of hours to spare in Denver I drove to nearby Golden where from the road I saw the North Table Mountain Loop trail heading steeply up to a mesa on the eastern flank of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. I thought I'd walk on the trail for a few minutes and instead made it to the top of the initial 0.6 mile incline in about 15 minutes. The trail head is about 6,000 feet so my breathing was laboured and I paused a few times but it was very satisfying to get to the top.
Good hike that is very challenging in some parts. Lots of climbing and mountain biking areas. Great views. Bring lots of water and wear a hat. It is very exposed with no trees. Very close to Golden so you can head to the breweries after a day of exploring.
