Lighthouse Church - Lakewood Campus

I went to this church today, I enjoyed it. Good music, good service and felt like a lot of nice people are around. Maybe next time I'll actually talk to some people. 😂

Wonderful community of people that seek after God authentically. I've grown and learned so much from this church and am so grateful to be a part of it.

Yes, the teaching is biblically grounded, the time for worship allows you to connect with Jesus in a profound and personal way, and the people are great.

BUT!!!!! As with every church you try out or attend, there are broken people, and with broken people comes imperfection, conflict, and occasionally hurt. What's different with the brokenness in this church is that the values of commitment, family, and vulnerability influence how people in this church engage with brokenness. This family within Lighthouse has taught me what it means to fight for the people you love, to commit to the body of Christ, and to actively live out Christ-like love within the family of God.

When you visit you definitely will not find perfection, but you will find people who continually show up for you in the mess and the brokenness of life. You will find people who fight to know God and love God deeper. You will find people who are committed to loving you... like really loving you... challenging you, encouraging you, holding you up, pointing you to the cross, reminding you of the character of God, the list goes on. God is doing so many amazing things in these people... come see and experience and partake!!!

This concludes my monologue about brokenness and the great people in this place. All this to say it's a five for me.

This church has been such an impactful part of my journey with Christ. At Lighthouse, I have been known and loved and seen by staff and other members of the church family. The Word of God is preached, and we are encouraged to authentically follow Christ. Highly recommend joining our family!

I was welcomed with open arms the moment I walked through the doors! Incredible young adult community, UNREAL worship (seriously blows me out of the water), and a very honest/real community. Found some of my closest friends in one of their home groups. And YES, they have coffee!!:)
