In my opinion, this is honestly the best Independent used-car dealership in Colorado. I genuinely believe it. Alan represents the floor with a perfect mix of professionalism and charisma. I’m very happy I got to work with him on this purchase. Here’s my key takeaways for a 5 star review…

For starters, the professionalism at Storm Mountain Motors is what large scale new-car dealerships strive for and only occasionally meet.

Transparency. They know what’s been done to the cars and they share all of that with you, and more. If they can’t put their name on the line for it, then it’s not on the lot. These guys specialize in a market that’s for the enthusiast. They sale “Drivers” cars because the two owners and salesmen are purists themselves. They put all their vehicles through a detailed inspection and test drive them how they’ve meant to be driven, before they’re up for sale.
At the end of the day, just know this Dealer would never sell anyone a Pandora’s box.

I did a full underbody inspection of the car I was going to purchase. This was a point where I know I wanted to buy the car, but with this car, finding one bone stock is laughably unrealistic. I needed to see it on a lift. Never, truly never have I been offered an underbody inspection by a dealer with enthusiasm. I did the inspection. For a 2017, needless to say just look at my video attached to the review. It says a lot for this type of car.

I spent the last 2 of my 3 day weekends driving cars that I’ve put months of research into. I drove cars in Denver, Loveland and Fort Collins. I was in the market for a few different high performance cars with market value brackets of $37k to $70k. The cars in the lower bracket allow me to modify and tune to Stage 2. My higher brackets were mostly Porsche 718s with 60k miles which I’d keep stock. I drove The Porsche 982 718 Cayman S in Denver, 3 Golf Rs, 3 Lancer Evo GSRs, a WRX STI and lastly, the Focus RS that I ended up purchasing. I kept comparing everything to the Porsche. Even a Stage 2 lancer came close to the thrill but the RS just set a different bar I didn’t know I wanted. Driving the car with Alan and doing the underbody inspection was very enjoyable. They completed a passed emissions test on the day of pick-up.

For the record,
I’m writing this review the day after purchase. I drove my RS all evening until 11pm. I fully expect to purchase another car from these guys in the future.

Excellent dealership, beautiful cars that were all being well cared for. Alan was friendly and professional and made the car buying process as easy as possible. I spoke with Fred for a little bit, and he seemed great too, and very knowledgeable on Porsches. Price was fair with no upselling or weird tricks. I recommend this place to anyone wanting a car

Had the pleasure of dealing with Alan at Storm Mountain Motors for an A7. The vehicle was as described, and he and the team even worked with me on a few cosmetic things I wanted to fix on the car.

It was an excellent, low pressure environment and Alan is a true enthusiast. It's a treat to have a dealership with real gearheads who can appreciate all types of vehicles, and the passion for them.

I would highly recommend Alan and Storm to anyone who is looking for interesting, fun enthusiast vehicles. It's a significantly better experience than the big stores where you're just a number!
