I was extremely pleased with Dr Byers and the team that did my fistulagram. The nursing staff went above and beyond for my family... Thanks Camille and Kati
I was pleased at how professional yet friendly the staff was. They explained things in ways that I could understand and it helped take away the anxiety.
Honestly, existence of my emergency aside, this was the most positive experience I have had in an Emergency Room.
Initial intake - I was grateful to have dealt with a deliberate gentleman by the name of Jarred; I'm unsure of his occupation title; I deeply appreciate that he asked the questions that he had, many of which were not on my idea/list of "typical intake questions," and all of which seemed to have the framework of a more bio-psycho-social medicine approach than I've experienced. I felt like his aim was to obtain 'truly relevant to my life as a human' information from me as to ensure I had best chance to actually receive the help I needed. Retrospectively, his questions (including the memorably helpful, [non ver batum,] "After you're all taken care of and leaving here, what would you like for us to have specifically done for you today?") probably saved time of subsequent staff.
Note- Because reading written text eliminates intentioned tonality, I'm struggling to portray his affect. Suffice it to say, the question, "After you're all taken care of and leaving here, what would you like for us to have specifically done for you today?" was asked kindly and sincerely, in what I saw as an attempt to bridge the gap between two or more minds, sans telepathy.
Visit - I am grateful to have dealt with the impressive Dr. Amanda Aguilar. She was deliberate in her approach - which seemed bio-psycho-social as well - and clearly has a high E.Q. which, correspondingly, resulted in a comforting, down to Earth bedside-manner despite her arrogance-worthy levels of education and insight. She explained everything with brevity and efficacy(despite their typical aversion to each other).
Company-wise - I tend to think of UC Health staff as parts of a [better way at bettering lives through better medicine to help people get better] whole movement-style company. I visited an urgent care owned/operated by Banner Heath a while back - specifically not UC Health - because of a short but negative interaction I'd had with one, now-forgotten-for-the-most-part employee. Seems illogical to judge a whole company based on one employee, but that's the thing about people and judging, we aren't trying to be logical, we're busy swimming around with emotional. But anyway. I considered elsewhere, but I'm very glad I decided to go here.
Everyone matters, you know this, most people consider this; I just appreciated the respective aspects of my experience and apparently want to project my ranting about the importance of each of us regardless of our many categoriz-able-by differences onto you, the considerate person reading Google reviews.(Yay!)
Well, considerate person, you matter and you're important.
- I truly mean the words I say in the first sentence of this review. I got the help I needed, and the sincerity of the staff was truly impactful. ♡
The staff was great and they got me in and out right on time.
I was admitted within a half hour of arriving. The nurses, and doctors were all great, and were able to get me treatment and on my way in no time. The nurses were awesome, UCHealth should be proud of their staff.
