    Our family frequented the Armadillo in Lakewood for decades, until it closed :'(. With our daughter's birthday approaching, we googled to see if there could possibly still be a location open - 80 miles away in La Salle. Same amazing menu, same amazing food. We'll be back.

    This is so far the best Mexican restaurant I've ate at. No watery beef! Chicken is a bit bland, unless you get it grilled! Beef is always best with Mexican food though, so I'll definitely keep coming back, despite the drive.

    TI've been going to the Armadillo since I was a child. The food is amazing, nice options for children aswell as adults. Great service. Never disappointed when I go. Highly recommend to anyone in the area passing through or otherwise looking for some delicious Mexican food.

    My personal opinion is that the male waiter's are much better at their job.. We sat there for 10 minutes and the young lady that was suppose to wait on us acted like we weren't there. But the waiter did a great job! I love the food... I just don't care for their new tortilla chip's, which is kind of a drag, because I love their salsa! I go whenever I can!
    The atmosphere is pleasant!
