Awesome place SGT Lyons is amazing at what she does very courteous and patient
Like most things in life the people make the difference. The physical plant for the dogs is excellent and getting even better thanks to the staff's fundraising. But it's the love and attention the stuff clearly gives the dogs that set a very high standard. Yes it's a Municipal Shelter and there are rules and there are no outside (non city employees) Volunteers (someone needs to educate the City Attorney that other municipal shelters have figured out how to supplement the love the staff gives with outside Volunteers). But so what. Having visited 15 plus shelters the officers who manage this facility are in a class of their own.
And forget the opinion of the humans. One only needs to observe the dogs and how they adore all of the staff to get the real truth
