Apartments at Pine Brook

  I lived here in a 1 bedroom unit for about 6 years in total (first moved in for my final year at UD, left after graduation, then moved back in a few years later for a job in Wilmington). I was very happy with my time at Pinebrook; ultimately I only moved out for a new job that took me away from DE.
  
  Pluses:
  -excellent staff who are very friendly and responsive, especially related to maintenance requests. They definitely treat their residents well
  -great surroundings. You have easy access to the Newark reservoir, trails, restaurants, etc
  -safety. In my whole time there I never had any issues with theft or other concerns
  -prices are reasonable for the area and market. Rent will go up when renewing, but their increases are also reasonable amounts
  -the complex does a good job keeping the grounds nice and upgrading/repairing the aging buildings
  -neighbors generally keep to themselves and respect everyone else
  -pet friendly! They have a small dog park and plenty of dog waste disposal stations (which they keep clean and stocked with bags)
  -the UD shuttle stops here, which is awesome if you're a student
  
  Downsides:
  -laundry machines are shared and pay-per-use
  -lack of central air. It can get pretty hot in the summer if you just rely on the wall-mounted AC in the unit
  -the buildings are old, which results in issues you'd expect like the occasional pipe leak. As I pointed out earlier though, maintenance is quick and they're constantly updating the buildings
  
  Overall, if you're looking for something in the Newark area, I'd recommend checking Pinebrook out.

  I had been living in Pine Brook for one year.The staff is very kind, and the maintenance comes immediately to fix the issue. It has a bus station for UD. It's quite placed to live in, but the only problem is the washing machine is sharing.

  I lived here for over 2 years. it’s a nice place to live. Any time there is a maintenance problem they come and fix the problem pretty fast. The property manager here is always nice and helpful. The only thing I wish is that they had central air And in unit washer and dryer
