“We chose Brandywine Springs for our wedding pictures and were very pleased. It's a beautiful place and we even got a history lesson from a man writing a book about the park.”

“The pool and environment is wonderful! Great place for family fun and quality time. The kiddy pool is perfect for my younger kids and the big pool is excellent size for the older kids and adults. I really enjoy this pool club!”

“If you live in the area and want exercise, a fun playground for your kids, to play tennis, soccer, baseball, basketball, off-leash play and exercise for your dog or a place to picnic or Bar-B-Que, Banning Park is worth the drive. Like all New Castle County parks, it is open daily from Dawn to dusk but sometimes they leave the lights on after dark at the tennis and basketball courts. There are several pavilions with roofs and BBQ pits. They all contain around a dozen picnic tables so there is room for birthday parties, church socials, informal get togethers or whatever you please. I don't believe that alcohol is permitted but the county police that patrol the park are only looking for people who are acting out or are visibly intoxicated. Keep it cool and there shouldn't be a problem. The "new" Bark Park" which is several years old now is huge! The one rule you must observe is to only let friendly dogs off the leash. If your dog does not play well with others, you must keep him or her on a leash. Otherwise, the fenced-in area for your dog to run and play safely is huge! It is also a good area to safely train your dog off leash. There is a gate that only humans can open so there is no way for your dog to get out and run away or get hurt running in traffic. There is also a small pond for fishing at the back of the park but make sure, if you are required by DNREC to have one, that you have a freshwater fishing license. All in all, a great open area to get the city out of your lungs!”

“A very beautiful out-of-the-way Park in northern Delaware. Scenery is very nice and the place is generally very quiet. A good place for contemplative activities and to get away from it all being only a mile or two from North Wilmington. This place is so well hidden that most people from Wilmington don't even know it exists and yet it is no more than a 10 minute drive from the Concord Mall which is a hub of activity for northern Delaware. It seems so large and yet it is actually fairly small. I recommend residents of North Wilmington to visit it during the summer.”

“Id love to start at river front. Wilmington side is great. New Castle was smelly. Great views from bridges.”
