“I received a first class education at Mount Pleasant High School in English, French, Chemistry, Social Studies& Economics, Computer Programming and Mathematics between 1970 and 1973. Mount Pleasant High School created a special mathematics honor program for me in 11th grade and 12th grade to study mathematics, physics and computer science at the internationally renowned University of Delaware in the afternoons. As a result of my Green Knights education, I invented 2 U.S Patents at Melissa Data 3 years ago using spherical trigonometry, C++, RedHat LInux, memory mapping and multithreading which enabled Melissa Data software license revenues to triple from $5 million USD to $15 million USD over the last 2 years .Even today, my written verbal skills helped me attain a Stack Overflow score of 657 in less than 2 years. My 3 younger siblings benefited much more than I did from my high school. One of my siblings represented Mount Pleasant High School in the 1980 National Merit Finalist Presidential Scholar ceremonies. All of the staff know my daughter, my husband and me by name and they are genuinely interested in ensuring we all have the best experience possible there. My daughter’s vocabulary has blossomed since she has been there, and her sense of self and independence too. She even asks to prepare her own snacks, goes to the bathroom independently and operates in the Montessori way at home. Highly recommended and I can’t say enough good things about this place!!”
