During covid I started a weight loss journey. I lost 100 pounds and I have another 40 to lose. Now that it's getting nice out I discovered this wonderful play. Yes it's next to the "ghetto' but it feels nothing like it inside the park. I've frequent this place every other day for the last 2 weeks. Zero complaints?
Came to get a quick shoot around without dealing with the elements. Unfortunately it was still a draft . The gym is still nice and the fitness center have great amenities. As a DC resident it's free so I strongly recommend that you come to this or one of the the many recs offered by the city.
Excellent place to workout and run track in the morning. Don't know if I would recommend going there in the evenings definetely not at night. No public restrooms or water fountains. Good parking. It's a large field and a open track and field. Mainly seniors in the a.m.
Formerly located at Kenilworth Parkside, the new Kenilworth Recreation Center is situated in a former Kenilworth Elementary School section. Kenilworth Recreation Center features DPR's largest fitness center and one of the agency's largest multipurpose rooms. Another special feature - a new lavish kitchen teaches nutrition, cooking, and meal preparation.
