I had a great time here with my Family. Plus, I got to see my first alligator.
Very pretty place . Lots of birds wild life. The only negative was that one of the platforms tower was damaged. Otherwise the park was very well maintained. We enjoyed looking at the animals and the seeney. A group of tourist went there with children and they were making a lot of noise. If they didn't have any appreciation for the place, they should stay in a hotel. It's too bad that people from other states are coming to Florida, and don't appreciate the beauty of the wildlife. I hope that people don't destroy the state, building stupid hotels and expensive houses that nobody cares about, and damage the animals natural habitat.
One of the better places to experience wildlife. Me being a wildlife photographer, love this place as there is so much life here. I have spotted alligators, great blue heron, little blue heron, tricolor heron, great egret, cattle egret, rosette spoonbill, ospreys, anhinga and many more. The species were very active when I went to the park at around 10am. You can try reaching there a bit more earlier in the day to view more activities.
This is a GREAT place to see migrating birds and alligators! You could literally spend the day walking the expansive land and would still see wildlife everywhere you turn! They have done an amazing job creating a unique wetland setting that demonstrates how humans can live in harmony with nature!
Pretty cool place to see the native wildlife. The drive isn't very long, but you need to drive slow in order to see and enjoy all the wildlife. You could easily spend an hour or two here, longer if you like just sitting and watching the wildlife.
