Beautiful scenery. You definitely see your fair share of horseshoe crabs!
Kayaked to island that is inhabited by longterm inhabitants. Nice people, welcomed us with no issues.
Decent size island to explore in the center of the indian river. Nice beach, camp spots, and views.
Too many people who come out here do not practice "leave no Trace" so it can be trashy in spots. Overall a great place to do some primitive camping and fishing
We paddled out to watch the sunset, and the Super Snow Moon rise. We cooked out backpacking style in the moonlight, then had a pleasant paddle back to the causeway. Others were camping out for the night. There were so many no-see-ums and mosquitoes, but we came prepared! It was a memorable evening.
