(June 17, 2022, 4:59 pm)Every city has a park dedicated to their veterans and this is the one in Davie. Davie Veteran's Park is a small half acre neighborhood park on the shore of a lake. Attracted by the water, the park has a number of ducks and Egyptian geese.
Park amenities include a wooden deck you can fish from and a covered playground with climbing structures and swings. There are also two covered picnic tables available on a first come first serve basis. The veterans memorial portion of this park is a simple marble slab dedicating the park to "All who served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America." As far as veterans memorials go this one is pretty small and simple.
This park is open daily from 9 AM until sunset. My favorite part of the park was the gorgeous in bloom royal poinciana tree. You can catch a view of the Hardrock guitar shaped hotel across the lake. While this is a nice place to picnic, fish, or take the kids to play, if you don't live in the neighborhood you can skip it.
(November 8, 2021, 8:04 pm)My kid loves this park! It's a hidden gem in Davie and there is always something fun to do. Whether it's the playground or the dock on the lake it's always fun.

That is in the middle of a neighborhood. Clean has a place for kids to play limited parking, but I see people parking on the grass next to the road. The fishing is hit or miss depending on what you are fishing for. Caught some bass the first day came back and not a bite at all. Overall a good place to burn a few hours. Plenty of ducks and birds to feed.
