The Plaza Bistro

Was a great experience! I was late for my apt and they were closing and they still took me in and were very nice and didn’t rush with me or anything. Didn’t catch the woman’s name but she was wonderful! She was gentle and great to talk to especially for it being my 2 time doing waxing- so the support was great!

Lovely spot with lovely owners. We were welcomed with a smile and had a great croissant egg and avocado breakfast sandwich. Perfect for our hangover 😬. Highly recommend!

I can’t believe there wasn’t a wait here. Truly good espresso, and a full breakfast with fruit, that was quick, unassuming, and full of charm. There are so few independent cafes like this anymore, and the good ones (like this one) shoudk be supported.

I asked the owner if their chicken sandwich was any good and she said " why would I serve something that was not good!"

Well, she was a little off, it was amazingly good. The best chicken sandwich that I ever had!

I just gave five stars to a food truck! What else needs to be said? Most are overrated and over priced. This is neither.

Stopped for a burger and fries yesterday. The patty was hand made, on the spot, fresh and perfectly seasoned. Same for the fries; perfectly golden and crispy and fresh from the fryer.

Came by this morning for the breakfast. I like my eggs over medium. Not something most places can comprehend or make with sucres. This guy did. Sausage was, again, fresh and perfectly seasoned. He makes his own iced coffee. It is lighter in flavor so those of you who prefer you coffee burnt won’t love it. This smart man makes coffee ice cubes to go put in the coffee.

Super nice guy owns and runs the place. The food takes a little longer since each order is fresh, but you will be treated like you are visiting your brother’s house. Evidenced by all the regulars i saw come by who ask for “the usual” and then chat him up.

Don’t miss this casual spot for great food.

EDITED: The assistant manager reached out shortly after I posted and was able to accommodate an appointment for me at 10:30am that day instead. I appreciated that Jissi and the team were so helpful given the frustration i felt that morning. I had a great experience during my visit, was kindly given a discounted rate, and walked out with some great aftercare products. Will definitely be visiting again.

I’ve tried to make two appointments, both before holiday weekends, and this location tried to cancel both times. The first time, Renee was gracious enough to see both my sister and I two hours after our original appointments even though there were no alternatives presented to us on the original day at first.

The second time I got a TEXT at 7:53am this morning for the 8am appointment I was already on my way to. It’s 8am. The Friday before a holiday. They offered me 50% to come back. I tried to at least go in to buy some stuff because I would have to take care of it at home now - no one was even there, lights were off, door was closed. Would not recommend booking here until there is more consistent staffing.

It was a great breakfast (a little greasy) with an adorable outdoor seating area. The menu is limited right now but the owner said now that COVID19 is somewhat behind us he will add to the menu. Even though there are umbrellas and shady spots, it is still very hot to sit outside in the summertime. It's a pleasant place to have lunch or breakfast but very pricey. Everything in North Beach Fort Lauderdale is expensive!
