  We happened upon The Desoto by accident searching for a place our young granddaughters might also enjoy for a quiet weekend near the ocean. WOW! no matter what nice comments are written, reality was better! Always ready coffee machine with library complete with cockatoo (?) serenades under flowering vines ... bicycles to use avoiding need to use the car .. short stroll to the beach!
  Only caution .. no morning breakfast shops nearby nor grocery stores so bring your own and enjoy!
  We will return!
  .... and we did ... for Thanksgiving 2018 with the family. The DeSoto has only gotten better with age. The only 'drawback' is my wife coming away with Way too many ideas of things 'she' wants to do to improve our entrance way! ():>]

  A lovely, quiet, and quaint hotel with stunning gardens! My husband and I decided to book this hotel based on all the positive reviews and we are so glad we did! The rooms are very clean, well-sized, and well-equipped. The bed was a comfortable memory-foam mattress. The garden, as mentioned before, is amazing and really contributes to the overall tropical vacation feel! A nice addition are the birds that sing the Andy Griffith theme song to you. Also, the beach is only a block away! Bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, and other miscellaneous beach items are available for guest use as well. Overall, if you are looking for a nicer alternative to a chain hotel, definitely check this place out, you will not be disappointed! The owner's attention to detail and overall passion for the business really shows! We will definitely be returning in the future!

  First of all.... Thank you Steve for donating the gift certificate to stay 3 nights 4 days at the Desoto Inn, to the Hollywood Rotary Club!!
  Lenny and I bought it at the auction and we are so glad we did!!
  We had a great time during our staycation
  The rooms are so clean!!!
  They have all you need to have s great stay.
  Full kitchen , very comfortable and friendly. The grounds are beautiful full of native plants flowers and trees.
  We enjoyed waking up just a few steps from the beach.
  Thank you for your hospitality!! We highly recommend staying here.
  We will be back!!!

  I've tried posting this a couple times, but this place is excellent. Both my gf and I loved it. The rooms were just the right size for two people, very clean and comfortable, and quiet at night. The grounds and overall atmosphere are relaxing and put you at ease.
  
  We had a situation where we added an extra night at the last minute and the booking service we used told us there wasn't any availability (this was wrong). The owners were extremely gracious and allowed us to keep our things there until we checked into the new motel just down the street, which was most appreciated.
  
  Stay here. You won't regret it. We certainly didn't and will be back again when we're in town!

  This place is an oasis of peace and tranquility. Each apartment is creatively decorated to provide a tropical feeling. The garden is native and divine. The management team exemplifies hospitality at its very finest. I can't imagine staying anyplace else when in South Florida.
