I rented a truck from them and it was a good ride
Employees were friendly. Check-in and check-out were quick and painless. Vehicle was newer and exactly what we reserved.
Great service! I came in with a flat tire and they had me back on the road in minutes. Thanks guys!
Penske was short on trucks because of a lack of folks returning trucks timely but Benton was helpful and went above and beyond to get me on my way with what I needed. Appreciate the help and service!
We heard about Safe Harbor Seafood from a young couple sitting nearby at another restaurant in Jacksonville. We drove north on A1A to check it out and were not disappointed in the least. This is not a fancy or well appointed dining establishment but the food is worth the trip. The blackened mango snapper was exquisite and worth the drive. My wife had the blackened grouper with pickled seaweed which was also amazingly good. If you want outstanding seafood served and do not mind plastic baskets and utensils this restaurant is worth the drive. I also highly recommend the hush puppies “wow”!
My mom wanted to come to this spot. If you're not from this area you probably wouldn't know about it. The wait was very long, 27 people in front of me. The food was very good, hot and fresh. The cashier had a great attitude. She was very polite and she act as if I was the first customer of the day. Though I was almost the last and I knew she had seen hundreds of people before me. This is a family oriented restaurant sitting on the river. Dine outside, take out or you could sit at the bar inside.
Guide for Northerners: I'm from the Midwest and was not familiar with modern day Southern fish camps. These wonderful places get fresh local fish and seafood to cook up and it's so delicious! It's a no frills place and you wait in line to order cafeteria style but it's always worth the wait! Then, you find a seat where ever you can and dig in! Safe Harbor has a lite crispy crunchy shrimp batter, crispy crinkle fries and a special pink tartar sauce that is tasty! You can see the crab meat in the deviled crabs. Wish we lived closer and could visit often! For a fun treat: Drive a mile north and take the ferry to Amelia island for a beautiful ocean drive or bike ride following SR A1A.
The only place I can get genuine fresh seafood.
