Thanks, Atlantic Beach Police Department! This group of specialized police officers do an amazing job at maintaining security and protecting its citizens. We wouldn’t continue to feel like this community is home without your service!

Had the sad experience of having these officers come out last night for a very ill family member who needed mental help. I worried the whole drive to his house that because he had a gun he could be (understandably) shot for the greater safety of others, he could be man-handled to get a gun from him (which is terrible as he is in his 60s and in continuous physical pain during even small movements) or he would be arrested rather than taken to a hospital where he was in need of treatment. But none of that happened. The officers were professional, friendly, and compassionate. They assessed the situation quickly and correctly and handled my family member with great care and I am so thankful for that. What could have been a very bad night for our family was very easy to deal with. Thank you so much to AB Police Department for making this awful experience into something we can look at in a more positive and compassionate light! Be safe.

Great officers, called the department to see if my two year old could meet an officer because he loves cop cars. They sent one out immediately and he spent some positive time with my son. Gave him a badge sticker, showed the police lights my son loved it. So glad they are willing to show the positive part of law enforcement to the youth. Great job Atlantic PD! Thank you so much!!!
