Nice walk. Bring bug spray. Mosquitoes don't play.
Very pretty during sunset, some nice picnic tables with an overhead and some tables without. There are pretty docks for fishing and to enjoy the view. I put 4 stars because there are so so many mosquitos in the evening.
I was invited to a BBQ at Reddie Point Preserve. The area is absolutely beautiful! Very quiet and very clean. Take your pets out for walks or go fishing.
Nice location for a short hike and/or fishing & a picnic. There is ample place to bank fish and lots of room on the pier and floating docks for fishing.
The hiking trails offer shade for hiking. Short trails but plenty of variety.
Unfortunately much trash left along the shoreline area, especially along the marsh trail. Next time we will take grocery bags to haul out some of the trash.
Mosquitos and flies abound, so put on or take bug spray.
Dog friendly and mountain bike friendly trails.
Covered picnic shelter area. And small pond near the entrance we saw some kayakers fishing.
Port a potty near the parking (again with trash inside).
Views of Downtown and the Dames Point Bridge.
We love the little "beach" on the St. John's River. There are nice short family trails for hiking. I can't remember the mileage for each, but most are short .5 mile treks. Great tortoise burrows in the sandy cut through on the hike too.
There's a pier into the river for fishing too. It looks out onto the Dames Point Bridge.
