Open Road Bicycles

Got a flat. These dudes had me back on the road in less than ten minutes even though they were busy. And at a very reasonable cost.

I am beyond pleased and thankful for the service I received today!!! Holton was professional, courteous and honest mechanic. I am a disabled Iraq war vet, I deal with a lot from things I was subjected this isn't the place to get into all that ( on a review). I have been unemployed since February however cycling is a free activity that keeps my mind off of things. When my rear derailleur broke I was at a complete loss. My reason for visiting Open Road Cycling was due to being in dire need of a 10 speed rear derrailur for my road bike, the current one bit the dust and was no longer useable. I called every bicycle shop in Jacksonville, Neptune, Atlantic and st Augustine and no one had the part. I initially called the Jax beach location for Open Road cycles and was Kindly referred to the avondale store. I don't have the income to buy brand new expensive parts at the moment. Holton, answered the phone and the parts he did have were very affordable and in my budget. The price I was given was extremely and boldly FAIR. As mentioned before cycling is my go to activity to keep me active and help keep my mind off of things, I have never been treated so nicely at a bicycle shop, Holton set up the bike for me explained what he was doing , checked the gears and further explained how to make my bike even better; when I get home I have to add some chain links. I just completed a 4 mile quick test ride so to speak on the bike and its working excellent thank you guys sincerely thank you, I will be coming back later down the road should I need something in the cycling realm of things. I selected this bike shop over others in the area based on reviews and I am so glad I did. My main purpose was to be fitted to my TT bike. I had bought a used bike and had ridden it a few months adjusting it myself but still thought I didn't have it right.

I ended up getting scheduled with Ginny and brought my bike in. I rode on the trainer for about 90 minutes with her making adjustments and listening to my feedback along the way. When I was happy she was happy. I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience.

My fitting was a week ago and I am riding better and without the discomfort prior to my fitting. I was never pushed for any products. I was able to purchase my spares tubes and a rear light while there. I only wish I would have thought to tip but being that I didn't, I hope this review with serve its purpose. I will go back to Open Road Bicycles of Avondale again and again.

Best service in town, PERIOD! They really know their stuff and are very honest. Anything they recommend you can rest assured is the best available and they recommend it because you really need it.

Holt and his coworkers are first rate. They are hard working, honest and informative. There is no other store of any kind that I feel more positive toward. They are a blessing to have in our community.
