Discovery Village At Deerwood

I had the pleasure of attending the fun “Shamrocked” event yesterday and was very impressed! It’s so important our loved ones have a joyful social life as well as top quality physical & mental care! I was invited out by Sondra, so naturally I sought her out upon arrival. She kindly provided an informative tour of your lovely clean community. I must say Sondra’s passion & enthusiasm for excellent elderly care is clear; which I’m sure comes from her first hand knowledge with her own mother. It’s so nice to talk with someone who can really relate! I will definitely consider this community when the time comes and will refer to my family & friends to Sondra as well!

I have know Sondra Sharp for a long time and dropped in to see her sweet mama. Sondra has been at this a long time and is the most amazing and loving person who truly cares for the residents. She showed me around the facility and I was very impressed!

It’s very stressful, moving to an independent living or assisted living community as an octogenarian. After having an unpleasant experience at another facility, my mother-in-law opted to move to Discovery At Deerwood. On her move-in date January 3 she was welcomed by the entire Discovery staff.All were very welcoming, including residents , who made an effort to make her feel accepted. That’s very telling of how the occupants feel about their community. Day 1 she felt this was home.
Particular mention should be paid to Miranda the lifestyle coordinator who greeted us on arrival, who literally, and figuratively, held my mother-in-law by the hand, and remained with her for the majority of that day. She patiently answered every question regardless of how trivial.

A friend of mine, Sondra, is a Senior Lifestyle Counselor at Discovery Village at Deerwood. I popped in to say hello and Sondra showed me around. I must say I was very impressed with the building and the amenities. The staff and residents seemed very happy. My mother is 86 years old and based on my visit, I would choose Discovery for her hands down!

I’m with the American Legion post 372 Auxiliary and Riders. We have been visiting Discovery Village and spending time with the residents. Every time we have visited the residents are thrilled to talk with us about the facility and their lives. We have heard some great things from the residents. The facility is always clean and welcoming.
