(February 5, 2020, 12:19 pm)Staff is extremely friendly. Vets take the time to cover all the bases and really make you feel like your pet's well being is just as important as their own. You can tell they love doing what they do and are in it for the animals.

EXCEPTIONAL!!
Dr Stacey and his staff went above and beyond to diagnose, care for and treat Lucy (the Akita that I rescued and had transported to Florida from California)
Long story short, upon arrival in JAX, Lucy was lethargic and could not keep water or food down.
Puzzled, I called the rescue group, who said she was in perfect health when the transporter picked her up.
Worried, I immediately found and took her to a vet that was open on Sunday. They suggested doing tests, X-rays, ultra sounds, etc although didn’t have a clue what was wrong with her. I opted for fluids only and took her to a hotel to monitor her (I live 4hrs from JAX where transporter delivered her).
Her condition got worse overnight. The next morning my friend Annette insisted that I take her to Dr Stacey, ASAP.
Dr Stacey immediately knew she was severely dehydrated and put her on IV fluids.
She ended up hospitalized at Miramar for 6 days. Dr Stacey and his staff took excellent care of her.
Dr Stacey did not rush to give her unnecessary tests, instead he observed her while she was under his care and treated her as he diagnosed.
I can’t thank Dr Stacey and his staff enough for taking the time that they did to help Lucy fully recover. It was a long, scary 6 days but I put my trust in him and he figured it all out.
Dr Stacey is patient, caring, extremely knowledgeable and cautious . . . I feel he saved her life.
We all know how hard it is when our babies are hospitalized. . . Dr Stacey and his staff called me with updates exactly when they said they would and he took his time explaining his plan of treatment and answered all my questions . . . (and all my friend’s questions, LOL!)
As I said, I live 4 hours away . . . I know that if Lucy gets sick in the future, I will be driving her to Dr Stacey.
(Did I mention, Lucy bonded with all the staff, giving kisses every time I went to visit)

They are most thoughtful, supportive, compassionate and patient, especially with some of us self-professed helicopter, ‘DogAreOurWorld’
guardians (AKA..’high-maintenance’..lol..:-)
The bearzies and I give this wonderful, hospital FIVE enthusiastic paws, and wish we could give so much more. ????????????
