Big Talbot Island State Park

Always a good trip to the beach....rain or shine. Had 2 kids with me and a baby in a three wheel stroller and we were able to access everything. Florida does their State parks well.

This place was private, off the grid, and absolutely beautiful. Love to exploring it with my children and wife. So relaxing we brought a hammock and was able to take a nap on the beach. A little hidden secret worth a trip. There is some walking to get to the beach ,but doesn't seem that bad. Most of it is in the shade and is very flat. Best to go early in the morning if possible and bring a lunch.

Get there early on the weekend. There is a small parking lot. During the week it's usually easy. Parking is 2 bucks. It's a bit of a walk to the beach approximately half mile. No bathroom at the beach, no playground. Nothing but beach so bring what you might need to be comfortable. It's a sand path so children strollers are a bit to push. Great place for peace and quiet. Tried some fishing but mot even a bite.. No real waves but lots to explore. String up a hammock and listen to some waves.

Excellent place to take pictures, relax and to enjoy the day.
If you want to visit please remember that the entrance fee are to keep up the site. Also remember that everything you take in you are to take out respect to nature and to others will be welcome

If you are interested in a WOW place, off the beaten path , try this spot on for size! Plus trails for hiking or just an easy walk. Remember the bug spray,sunscreen,water and your best camera. Entrance does require a minimum fee under $5 bucks. Parking is very limited, the earlier you get there the better 😃
