  I found Bob based on the other rave reviews about his teaching style, and had the pleasure of being able to have a lesson with Bob last week. From just one hour with him, it's readily apparent that he is both an excellent guitarist—and more importantly—an excellent teacher. I've been self-taught for awhile, but Bob was able to instantly identify some areas of improvement from the first lesson. He takes the time to tailor the lesson and lesson plan to the student, which makes a world of difference, enabling the student to stay interested in the sometimes difficult study of music. Not to mention, his prices are very reasonable, probably the best in town. Give Bob a call, you won't regret it.

  Bob is very fluid in his teaching style, with nothing set in stone for any-and-all who come to him. This open-ended method was very helpful to me because I began taking lessons from him not really knowing what I wanted to get from them.
  
  I had very little experience with guitar prior, but had become interested in learning Jazz guitar. But, with all its complexity it's difficult to find a good starting point just on one's own. I started taking lessons from Bob because I knew enough to realize I needed things boiled down, but I didn't know enough to recognize what specifically those things were.
  
  As the lessons went on, we came to realize that what intrigued and motivated me most was the "why's" of music. So, we explored music theory and its application. Throughout this process, he would notice ways my mechanics could be better, and present multiple avenues that could tighten up my playing. If I had not had his eyes and ears to monitor me and his expertise to guide me, my progress would have been significantly slower in many ways, and non-existent in others.
  
  Thanks to Bob, I'm at the point where I feel comfortable in expanding on my own the capabilities I've built from my time with him. Going forward, if I struggle with something or plateau, I fully intend to seek out Bob's guidance again. And when I've worked out my chops enough, I'd like to take lessons with him for creating music.

  I've never been comfortable singing in front of others, but Bob was tremendous at making me feel at ease. Really nice guy, and I learned so much from a single session. Definitely got my confidence up and I can't wait to go back :)

  I have been taking vocal lessons with Bob for about three weeks now. I was prepping for an audition for a local theatre. I have not performed since high school, 15yrs ago. Bob is a great coach and he taught me how to understand my own voice and how to work on my weak areas. Obviously I need more than three weeks to realize my full potential (I’m definitely gonna continue taking lessons) but I made the ensemble cast and I’m really proud of that. Thanks Bob!!?

  Bob is an excellent teacher, very patient and encouraging. That's important when you wait till you are 70 to start guitar! I am very pleased with my progress and the help I have received. And I am enjoying the musical journey! As a former teacher I find his ability to help tailor in the lessons to fit the type of music I want to play outstanding! I look forward to each session! Thanks Bob!
