I cannot say enough good things about community hospice. My mom was at the Sunbeam location for over a week. The location is absolutely beautiful. I was shocked to see how nice the rooms were, the different amenities for the families, how calm and serene everything seemed. It was a really hard time but it made a difference with how nice everything was. The nurses were amazing. So kind, empathic, and caring. They answered all the questions that I had and also treated my mom so well. They didn't mind that we had one person stay with her all night and would even bring us food for each meal so we had something to eat. One thing that stuck out to me was that they would gently brush her hair after they gave her a bath. Little things like that really make the difference and show that they care. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Hospice and palliative care are words we associate with end of life and managing pain. But without the caring and compassionate staff and nurses like Alyssa Woodbury and Dolores Moynahan at Community Hospice they would be just words. My Mother has been treated with love, respect and the dignity she deserves. Family members are kept informed and involved with the care plan. Hospice is a celebration of life while transitioning to the next level of care for family and loved ones. Thank you to all the staff of Community Hospice, you are appreciated.
My mother lived at my home and had care from the nurses and doctors from this organization in 2010 for over 6 months. They were caring and considerate and provided onsite assistance when she passed at 2am. Sorry it has taken so long to leave a review after all the assistance they provided.
My mom spent her last month of life here. I live in Arizona and drove out to spend a week with her. This place was amazing. The nurses were amazing. I pretty much lived there for a week with my husband and 2 sisters. I never had a problem, we were welcomed with open arms. They answered all my questions and helped me with everything I asked for. When my mom was transferred there she was coherent, so I spoke to her everyday until I couldn’t. I was sure to ask her how she was treated there and she said nothing but good things. She said everyone was so nice. That made me feel good. By the time I got to Florida my mom was pretty much in a coma state. The nurses made sure she wasn’t in any pain and made her as comfortable as possible. She was cleaned and changed daily. I really appreciate the nurses that took care of my mom. You ladies are Angels. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
