“I drive past the Brand New Dollar General on Blanding Blvd near 103rd st to go 2 miles to the Wilson Ave store. Blanding location is less than 30 seconds from my house but I have not shopped that location in a couple years. I did walk in the new store to check it out and the store is BIG and nice but the one thing that makes all the other stuff not matter is the staff. The Wilson store Manager is a younger gentleman and he is so kind, he always says hello and he does not act like I am bothering him if I need his help. That goes the same for all of the employees at this store, they are all very nice, The store is well stocked and clean. You can build a big very nice store but if you do not change the employees it doesn't matter. I shop almost daily at the Wilson Ave Dollar Genera& will continue to do so, but I will not spend not $1 at the new Blanding store because the employees there are rude.”

“Business is closed every time you turn around at night because no one wants to work tonight it was at little after 10:30 there closed again till tomorrow morning they need to change there Business hours if they can't be open as advertised the worker's are Great I have no problem with them only with store always being closed at night alot As of a few days ago haven't had any problems about that for now I work 20 hours or sometimes Evan More 7 days a week sometime Evan More and I'm in my mid 60s so I know the people are trying it's probably because nobody these days want to work because most make more money sitting at home getting unemployment I don't blame workers I blame our government thanks for your time and trouble”

“This pharmacy was lacking in very many areas but I came here because it’s close to my house. They have new staff that are very hard working and super friendly. My mother is very ill and I pick up prescriptions for her! The young man, Steven, went out of his way to fill a prescription right away that she desperately needed. I could tell the store was very busy but he was happy to put in his best effort and go the extra mile. Somehow this young man was running drive thru and front counter, and going back to fill all at the same time and making it seem like it was cake. Hire more folks like him . Thank you for the great service”

“First appointment. My daughter wanted to get her hair cut, so this is a first for her. I wanted to go to a place where great care would be provided and I think I found the place! I decided on this shop after reading all the reviews. In all the reviews, there were certain terms that stood out; friendly, kind, professional, caring, lovely, pleasant, and a great experience. These terms are well used for this shop. Our appointment was with Lisa. We'd explained the type of cut my daughter wanted, and while talking, I did say I had a concern. Lisa, promptly asked me about my concern, and she even took the time to respond to my concern by showing me how the particular cut would look on my daughter. Once Lisa cut my daughter's hair, she called me over to ask about a detail and explained why we should do the detail. Lisa is on point, knowledgeable, and friendly. In fact, all the ladies in the shop were friendly and fun. The chemistry was great! I will definitely bring my daughter back for a touch up and I will be making an appointment for myself! Thank you Lisa! My daughter was so happy about her hair 🙂💇🏽✂️👍”

“The physicians, nurses and other staff at WakeMed Brier Creek were exceptional when I was recently treated for a small bowel obstruction, that ultimately required surgery. One staff member, Jimmy, who works in radiology, went above and beyond the call of duty, and my husband and I would like to give special acknowledgement for his kindness and extraordinary effort on our behalf. My husband is an insulin dependent diabetic who had been by my side for hours as I was being diagnosed and treated for what had originally been diagnosed as gastroenteritis at another urgent care facility. We were referred to WakeMed for further examination. Because we are vegetarians, Jimmy went out of his way to get my husband some food in order to prevent him from having a low blood sugar episode. Thank you so very much, Jimmy, we were so grateful for your help at a very difficult time.”

La Salsa Market is a proper Oriental grocery store, replete with seasonal fresh Asian and Hispanic fruits and vegetables, Asian and Middle Eastern pantry staples, an exhaustive selection of bulk-sale ramen noodles, and even a fishmonger's section that features fresh seafood on ice. This market brims with Oriental produce and products, and a first-time visit could be sensory overload for the uninitiated, but the intrepid cook may find just what they are looking for, and at a fair market price. The larger-sized bags of rice are competitively priced, and so are the various types of dried noodles. An especially notable good buy is the Squid brand fish sauce in plastic bottles, and also the 24-pack case of Sapporo Ichiban ramen noodles available in the most popular soup flavours--but unfortunately not chowmein flavour. As frequenters of all good and properly stocked Oriental grocers may know, customer service is not necessarily a focus of these sort of establishments, and La Salsa is no exception. The customer service, while generally pleasant and cheerful, can be unintentionally brusque. For quality Asian ingredients at competitive prices, La Salsa Market is Jacksonville's local gem.”
