Stunning and peaceful! Definitely worth going to check out! There is so much life out there and so many beautiful parts of nature to soak up. If you get a chance to visit, definitely make the time. Many places offer airboat tours and they are really worth it!
Great time. Was able to see gators up close & personal! Baby Face was a great guide with lots of info. Highly suggest!
I found myself slightly sad because I realized how much of Florida we have lost the natural beauty of our state is slowly but surely being devoured my progress as much fun. The glades were breathtaking they are amazing the water beyond blue and the serenity in abundance.
It was exactly what we were looking for -- Old School Florida, an authentically funky place, and a fine value for the money. It's totally non plastic, but clean and friendly. The food shop isn't overpriced. It's a good, long boat ride, and the scenery is beautfiul. Our guide had a microphone and we could hear everything, and he stopped and gave everyone a chance to see and photograph everything, rotating the boat so both sides could see. The only sad thing is the way suburban development comes right up to the edge of the Everglades.
I went out for Valentine's day and had a wonderful time. We had to wear a ton of mosquito repellent, but you don't go anywhere in South Florida without that. We loved the trail and watching the sunset, and the water was crystal clear so you could watch turtles and alligators swimming even after dark. It was beautiful.
