St. Frances X. Cabrini Parish

I love this parish! They make you feel at home, from the priests, pastor and office staff. They’re very nice and welcoming. I enjoy being a parish member here.

Our family has attended St. Francis for years. We hold our most cherished memories there. ❤️ Over the years we are amazed to see volunteers donate their God giving talents to the church. Recently, we have a new faith formation director, Laura Rivera, she works tirelessly in bringing excitement to the program. Laura always encourages positive feed back, any ideas or suggestions in helping the program grow is appreciated. Our handbook clearly states "Faith formation bridges the gap between the domestic church and parish community." We love ❤️ it. Faith building begins at home working with our children & our church helps Feed our Faith. May our Lord continue to Bless our church & priests, Father David, Father JoJo and of course Deacon Anderson and many others who provide beautiful homilies. 🙌 🙏 ✨️And Laura Rivera, our family thank you for all your creative energy and excitement you bring to our parish ❤️.

When my husband and I moved back to Spring Hill a few years ago, we were hesitant to make St. Frances Cabrini our home parish. We were looking for programs within the church that would foster community among families and Cabrini did not offer what we were looking for at the time.

Over the past year we have been so impressed with the faith formation program under the direction of Laura Rivera and are excited to see what is to come with the program. She has been working so hard to build a community where families can grow in faith and friendship. Every event that we have attended that has been run by Ms. Laura has been such a breath of fresh air.

Ms. Laura truly cares about not only the children in the program, but the entire family and it shows by how much effort she puts into every planned event. It is so refreshing to walk into an event that has been beautifully decorated with every detail thought about. It makes families feel welcomed. Environment makes a difference and it’s wonderful to see how the faith formation program recognizes that.

Faith formation is so much more than handing children a “pad of paper to take notes, a book and a pencil” as a previous review mentioned. A child will not remember every single piece of information in their faith formation books or the notes they take during class, but what they will remember are the relationships they build and how they encounter Jesus through those people they meet during their years of faith formation.

Ms. Laura understands this and is striving for families to encounter Jesus at St. Francis Cabrini. I’m looking forward to watching the program grow as my son continues faith formation at Cabrini.

The faith formation at this church is wonderful, the person in charge understands and knows how to run it very well. As a catechist for 10 years at a different church I have to say the faith formation is organized and planned out well. The director makes it fun for the students, which I feel keeps the children interested. Overall wonderful experience.

Our faith formation programs under the current director have become more family friendly, more child friendly and overall, a better experience for our family and children. She was brought to the parish to enliven the family experience and renew the faith formation programs by incorporating new and exciting programs. In only one year, we have had parents nights out all summer for FREE, Trunk a Treat, Movie Nights, Back to School Bash and on and on I can go. Even though these events are FREE she makes sure everyone has a great experience. We were present at the Back to School Bash and the director was manning two activities not just Sitting at a table. She never once during the event raised her voice at a child. She was engaging with every child and parent that came by. She was doing her job making sure that those tables had someone there. I didn’t see anyone complaining that she provided free food and ice cream sundaes to everyone that attended. Also all the fun games and prizes the children were able to leave with were wonderful. She has created new program opportunities here at St. Frances like the family faith program and the middle school summer program. By her hard work and willingness to bring new programs the faith formation enrollment has substantially increased . Our experience with the director is that she has a passion for faith formation, she is unafraid to be a pioneer of the faith and a love for children and families. She is a transparent and genuine individual. Your review sounds like a person who did not get their way and just wants to be mean spirited. Yes, we as parents are called to live the faith out loud and that includes bringing our children to Mass weekly. That is God’s commandment. She needs to keep up the amazing work she is doing at St. Frances it shows!!!!
