“As a previous employee and a parent this place is the best! There is an open door for communication with staff and owners but you have to do it respectfully. People complain about things they have no idea about and put half the story out there to make people look bad. The staff turns over due to people being there for a paycheck not because they have their heart in it. I cried leaving this wonderful place! Would love to go back. My kids adore Mr. Pete and Mrs. Janice. My son was what everyone would call a handful and everyone was amazing with him. He adores Mr. Pete and always asks if we can visit him and Mrs. Janice. I cherish our time at Funtastik and highly recommend it”

“I really love this school. My kids love it. They really do their hardest to help each and every child. They communicate with parents about ways to help the parents kids to succeed in class. Give out helpful websites, and practice work at home. I love their AR (acelerated reading) nights on Thursday from 3:45-6pm. I read to my kids in the library and they take test the score them on the comprehension of the books read to them or the books they read. My kids have really excelled! Especially the 20/20 math/reading they do at home so that the kids aren’t left behind. But remember parents also have to put in their share of work too, making sure you sit with your kid and read to them and challenge them in reading & math. When my kid were falling a little behind in math they offer computer camp early in the mornings that start at 7:45am -8:15am and also at the end of dismissal 3:10-3-45pm. My kids have really benefited with the extra help. These teachers challenge the kids and you will be surprised! At how your kid! Will be writing paragraphs in kindergarten! And reading @ a 4 grade level in kindergarten! My son was able too. Yours will too! Dedication is given to these kids! And I myself give the time to spend with my kids to have them at a higher level”

“This school is an amazing school! All the teachers are great, especially Mrs. Lopez! She gets us engaged and shares life stories to help connect to the topic! All the students seem to love her the most and are entertained in her class, while still learning at the same time. She's funny, but doesn't get off topic or let us get off topic. She encourages respect and rapport, and is a great role model to students. She not only teaches the test standards she has to teach, but also teaches valuable lessons to help us in life, unlike other teachers. She truly stands out.”

“It's really not as bad of a school people make it out to be. All the teachers are very kind(until you push it), and they all care about everyone's education. I came here halfway through the school year in 6th grade and I was really nervous about meeting new friends and what teachers I will have but everyone was so kind to me. Even now in 8th grade, I would give all my teachers 5 stars. I saw other posts saying students are made fun of by teachers, but that is definitely not true. Teachers and students joke with one another all time. Also, teachers care about the students grades and would not make fun of them for having a D or an F. They would help the child better themselves in whatever subject they are failing. Great school and I recommend this school to anyone!”

“I spent my first two years of high school here. I moved from Los Angeles to Springhill in 98. Out of all my years of schooling, including college, these two years were the best. I was part of the AFJROTC program and there was always something to look forward to. Teachers here were always pleasant and friendly. Whether it was Mr. Christopher Mock or Mrs. Hutchins. Mr. Allen was an awesome Spanish teacher. Education here far surpasses the education provided here in Los Angeles high schools. Advice to current and upcoming students at Springstead; enjoy everyday and make the most out of it!”

“My children both have attended this daycare and let me just say…. WOW!!!! Everything from the staff, to the classrooms, to the activities, the food provided, the care, and the boss this place is where you want to bring your kids!! I have 2 boys that have both now attended the daycare and the VPK program here and they really go above and beyond to provide for the children. As a mother when I drop my children off with someone else; especially for a long period of time, I want to have a good feeling walking away knowing they are in good hands and I have always had that feeling with this daycare-need me remind you my kids attend full time from 9am-5:30/6:00pm. The staff is incredible and so is the boss, Lisa. Anytime we have ever needed help she has gone above and beyond to help my family whether it was financially or just information. The other plus is THEY ACCEPT ELC!!!!!! (Early Learning Coalition). If you work or go to school at least 20 hours a week you are eligible for part time ELC and if you work or go to school 25+ hours a week you will be eligible for full time ELC. ELC is a program where the state helps pay majority of the daycare and you pay a small portion.. all depending on your pay of course.**info provided because I find most moms don’t even know about ELC and it has been so helpful for me especially when I went through a period of being a single mother for 2 years.” I would highly recommend this child care facility to anyone!
